Beautiful books 2017

bb-redone.png (410×410)

Hey everyone!

So I was like, "lets post more!" and my laptop was like, "yes!" "but we're going on vacation!" I said, "then bring me!" my laptop said, so I brought it! and typed up this post! "now save and post!" I said, "LOL, no!" my laptop said! and proceeded. to delete. the post.
Aaaaaaand decided to be wonky, so I couldn't get it to work until I got home. greeeeeaaaaaaat.
So sorry about that! And this post is for my nano project for this year, hopefully I can get it out of my head, so I can work on finishing my star wars fanfic novel.

So, here are the questions!

1. What inspired the idea for your novel, and how long have you had the idea?
It's been simmering in the back of my mind for a loooooong time, but I thought of most of it one morning in the shower, and that afternoon I walked up and down the driveway, plotting.

2. Describe what your novel is about!
Well, its about this girl, who's a bookworm, and ends up in a fantasy world, and gets a dragon. She goes to help rescue her new friend's brother, and later ends up saving the world. It's a little blurry, but I'm in the process of clearing it up.

3. What is your book's aesthetic? Use words or photos or whatever you like!

4. Introduce us to each of your characters!
The main character is 14 years old, and I don't have a name for her yet, but she has brown hair, glasses, and is, like I said, a bookworm. She's shy, and prefers to keep her mouth shut and observe before speaking. She's very attached to her dragon, and loves to fly with her. She's very caring, and will never leave anyone behind, even if she doesn't know them well.
Aya (eye-ah) is her dragon. I'm not completely sold on the name, but it will do for now. Aya is very independent, rather bold and sarcastic. She's very protective of the main character, and would destroy the entire world to keep her safe.
Mira is a tiny, sweet girl of 13. She's very kind and compassionate, also down to earth and prefers home to anyplace else. She quickly befriends the main character, and trusts her enough to ask for help to find her brother, when he appears to be captured by mountain trolls. (They find him...sorta.)
Mira's brother doesn't have a name yet. He's 15, and his personality is kind of odd, but he pretty much just acts casual and confident about everything, and not much seems to rattle him. He causes a heck a lot of trouble though, for everybody.

I need another character....but I'm not sure who else they need.
Oh well, these will do for now.

5. How do you prepare to write? (Outline, research, stocking up on chocolate, howling, etc.?)
A little bit of everything. Especially howling. πŸ˜†

6. What are you most looking forward to about this novel?
Finishing it.

7. List 3 things about your novel's setting.
Deep forests, the dragon mountains, and a cliche evil fortress, a big black spiky castle with lots of lava. Like I said, it's cliche, but it serves its purpose.

8. What's your character's goal and who (or what) stands in the way?
My main character's goal is to help Mira get her brother back, or at least find out what happened to him. What stands in the way is about half the country, (it's along trip) and the fact that he's at the evil sorcerer's personal castle.......aaaaaand maybe the fact that he doesn't even want to be rescued.  *rubs hands together evilly* I told you he was trouble. 😸

9. How does your protagonist change by the end of the novel?
By the end of the novel, she should be a budding warrior, and have heard at least a few tales of the legendary warrior, Charla seelom, and her dragon, Sheeril'la. (In book two she will have heard much more, and maybe figure out who she is, or maybe it will happen in book three. Not sure yet.)

10. What are your book's themes? How do you want readers to feel when the story is over?
Ooooh, my readers are going to be so mad! A nice happy ending- AND THEN THE EPILOGUE!!! *laughs evilly while thunder booms*

I'm getting to be dangerous, folks.

Beware.

😳

(better keep me away from Madi, or I'll get worse)πŸ˜‚

Well, I'll be off. See you later!

Are you doing nanowrimo? What do you think of my book? Does your laptop/computer/device ever act wonky for no reason?
Do you find it difficult to name your characters?

The sunshine blogger award

Hey girls!
So, apparently I got nominated at least three times. If you read this post, and yours isn't up there, I apologize.

The rules:
.Thank the person who nominated you
.Answer 11 questions and ask 11 questions
.Nominate 11 people
.Let the nominees know

(The rules are the same for all, but I will nominate people after I answer all the questions, because I don't think I even know 33 bloggers. πŸ˜† )

First up: Stuffie adventures! Thanks! πŸ™‚

1. What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
ummmmmm.....I don't really remember, which is weird. You think you'd remember something scary?? hmm. Well, it doesn't seem scary now, but when I was little I really really wanted to go on this water slide, even though I could barely swim. Dad said he would catch me at the bottom, as well as Ivy. Thorin had wanted to go as well, but he was too small, the life guard said he couldn't. So Ivy went down, then I got on. First I was prepared, but I didn't reach the end...didn't reach the end...then just as I relaxed, I whipped around a curve and hit the water. I was startled, had no breath in reserve, water in my nose, water in my eyes, I couldn't see, couldn't find the surface, and where was dad? I ended up banging into the wall, and didn't drown, so it turned out fine. But it was scary then. πŸ˜›

2. Best compliment you received?
I was beta reading Madi's novel, Loyalty, and she left a really sweet comment about how she loved reading my comments and suggestions, they were helpful and I kept making her laugh, and to please never stop being me. It made me feel so good. πŸ™‚

3. What are your favorite pizza toppings?
Cheeeeeeese. (Yes, that countsπŸ˜„) And olives. πŸ˜‹

4. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate! No, mint! No, strawberry! Oh, I can't pick.🍦

5. If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be?
Assuming they can speak modern English? hmm...maybe Amelia Earhart.  Or maybe Charlotte Bronte, and ask her what in the world was she thinking with Jane Eyre. (Talk about a confusing book!)

6. Do you feel like a leader or a follower?
Depends. I'm an oldest child, so with my siblings I'm a leader. (When they listen, that is) I'm also a leader with my friends, but I'm shy, so around other people I'm satisfied with being a follower.

7. If you could choose your own nickname, what would it be?
Something cool and fandom related. πŸ˜†

8. Who is the funniest person you know?
πŸ”₯LEO VALDEZ.πŸ”₯
(hush, that totally counts)

9. Using one word, how would you describe your family?
weird
lovable
annoying
unique
SPECIAL.

10. What's your favorite time of day?
It's 6 am, summertime, and dawn is spreading across the sky. I've just woken up, and I stretch, the remains of my dreams flitting through my head as I gaze out the window and smile.

11. Cake or pie?
Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!

I also got nominated by Jewel from doll notebook! Thanks Jewel!

1. Why do you love blogging?
I don't really know, I just can't imagine stopping. πŸ™‚

2. If you could blog about anything else, what would it be?
uh, maybe fandom stuff? But I kind of already do that... πŸ˜„

3. Who is your favorite superhero? (It can be made up if you want).
Thor and Black widow are tied for first, followed by Captain America.

4. What's your favorite quote?
"There comes a time where every boy must become a man. What sort of man, is up to him."
-Garmadon to Lloyd, ninjago season 5 episode 10
it was so saaaaaaad!
I totally had to look that up.
oh, I also have this other one:

"Password?"
"Iron man sucks!"
-the lego batman movie

I love it. πŸ˜†

5. Jewelry or no jewelry?
Jewelry!

6. Cats, or dogs?
mmm, cats. Much less maintenance.

7. Do you have siblings?
Yep, six of them!

8. Do you like roller coasters?
I'm going to say no. πŸ˜…

I want to be a doula, a mom, and write books in my spare time. which will probably be none.

10. What's a food you can't stand?
Oatmeal. Sorry mom.

11. Who is your favorite doll that you have?
This one is easy. πŸ˜„ Kit, even though Camille is crazy adorable.

Madi also nominated me, quite a while ago, but whatever. Thanks Madi!

1. What inspired you to start your blog?

Star Wars ComLINKS #21

(image not mine)
Star Wars ComLINKS | Anakin and His Angel

Hey everyone!
Jenmarie is doing another comLINKS, and this one sounded like I might actually have a long-ish opinion, so I jumped for it. (And then put it off for about a week but shhhhhh)
(Jenmarie's favorite is Ahsoka, and you can read why HERE!)

My favorite female character is.....

There are so many amazing women in star wars, and they're all important. but for this comLINK I chose....

Padme, of course.
(why did I say of course if it took forever to choose??)
Ahem.
There are many reasons why I chose her, so I shall number them in a handy list. With pictures, because it's fun.

(image not mine)
67b1c574630ebbecfb2ebd1dbb50cbbc.jpg (852×480)
1. She's wise
I mean, she was QUEEN at 14! And she handled it so well, when her term was over they asked her to stay as a senator. Cool. And as a senator, she totally rocked it. πŸ™‚

(gif not mine)
tumblr_omhvywjfr51w1qscwo4_1280.gif (550×230)
2. She's awesome
What more do I have to say? When negotiations (non aggressive ones) fail she can pack a punch!

3. Her wardrobe (and hairstyles)
HER HAIR IS SO BEAUTIFUL. And if there's one thing to say about her, it's that she's got style. From royal gowns to going on missions, she's the most stylish in the group. πŸ’ƒ
(Including her own funeral...*sobs quietly*)

(image not mine)

4. Shipping!!
I'm such a ship nerd. πŸ˜† (is that even a thing? It is now)
But still, I ship my characters super hard, and I love this ship. πŸ’œ
(And don't tell me that this doesn't count as a reason.) πŸ˜›
*looks at picture and squeals happily*

(image not mine)

5. Her amazing kids
Because where would the galaxy be without Luke and Leia? Under the hands of either the Emperor or Darth Vader, that's where. Padme may not have lived long enough to raise her children, but they both picked up good traits from her, from Leia's level headedness to Luke's faith that Anakin can be saved.
(Also, whoever made this edit is AMAZING)

(image not mine)
f5c55259fef1a791cafa41d028e6d9de.jpg (385×538)
6. She just sees so much good in people
That may or may not be the reason she died, but that's not the point. The point is that she sees the good in people, even if they don't, so she's willing to give people second chances. She also saw that small spark of good hidden in Darth Vader, and knew that her Ani could be saved. You also see it a lot in the clone wars, because she's always trusting people that the others won't, and trying to convince the others to give them another chance.

And those six reasons is why Padme is my favorite.
And I've forgotten how to end a blog post.
So I shall just go now.
bye, from

What do you like best about Padme? Who is your favorite
female character? Why are they your favorite?
Will you do this link up?

The park visit

Heloooooo peoples!

(I dunno why I said that, I just felt like it)

(Good gravy, I'm starting to sound like Loren)

(But I've also been catching myself sounding like Cait, so idk)

Anyway, back on track. πŸ˜†

(Brain starts singing annoying old vbs song)

*coughs*
So, we went to this playground/park and it was really big, and really nice, and I mostly took these pics so I could get some of my instagram followers to come check out my blog. But it was nice, and I got some good pics for the blog, which you should be reading right now. (I'm looking at you, mom!)

I think these are black eyed susans.

πŸ’š

I may have a slight obsession with taking pictures of water. πŸ˜‹

This water was kinda gross, but can you see the minnows?

I also like taking pictures of paths.

I took these two while swinging on the swings, very high. Not recommended unless you have a super tough case, a playground with that squishy, foam-y ground, and a firm grip. Oh, and able to stay on your swing while taking the photo. πŸ˜›

It started raining, and we ran around and got soaked. Doesn't rain feel so clean and refreshing? I like swimming in the pool, but it doesn't feel the same as being rained on.πŸ’§
And then it stopped, and it grew so hot so fast that you could see the water evaporating. 😳

A bee on a flower. 🌻🐝

We also found this site, and we designed lego characters that looked like us, and downloaded them as pictures. It was really fun, but since the options are limited, some of my sibling's lego characters look nothing like them. You can visit the site HERE.
Mine turned out alright, it's not that good, but close enough.

Sorry it's so fuzzy. 😬 I had to add the glasses and the freckles on canva, since they didn't have those on the designer. The freckles took FOREVER. 😫
But anyway.
Tomorrow I'm going up to Sparrow's for a beach day, and I might bring Kit, but I'm sure I'll get at least a few pictures.
And talking about beaches, Charis (hey look! I got it right! But maybe it's just because I'm starting to think of her and Grace as different people....πŸ™ˆ) went to Emerald island, and her pics are SUPER pretty! I think I died. πŸ˜†
Oh yeah, HERE's the link.
πŸ˜„

Bye!
Do you like playing in the rain? What about beaches?
Did you make a lego you? How accurate was it?
Do you ever find yourself talking like a blogger you admire?
What do you think about swinging full speed, holding on with your
elbows and trying to take a good picture at the same time
without dropping the camera? (or phone, or i-pod in my case)
