American girl doll chocolate frog
Now I will show you how to make chocolate frogs!
You will need:
1. Clay. Pick a heavy kind, so it gives the impression of chocolate.
2. Brown paint.
3. A zip-lock bag.
4. Scraps of ribbon.
5. Chocolate frog cards, that you can get HERE. (Print on card stock)
Step 1. Take your clay, and roll it into the size and shape of a bean.
Step 2. Now roll a really thin rope.
Step 3. Attach it to the side, and kinda roll it around like this.
Step 4. Now cut the excess off with your finger nail.
Step 5. Repeat on the other side for the frogs legs.
Step 6. Slightly squish the back so the front slants up.
(What the heck? I crop the pictures, then I download then onto the laptop, and they un-crop! And I haven't figured out how to crop them on here yet. Grrrr.)
Step 7. Make teeny tiny little balls for the eyes.
Step 8. Bake the clay according to the package.
Step 9. Paint it brown. Depending on the kind of paint you use, you may need to give it a few layers of mod podge.
(I took this pic later, so it has different lighting)
Step 10. Put a frog and a card in a bit of zip-lock you cut of, and tie shut with a piece of ribbon.
You are done!
If you want to write the full names of all the people on the cards, click here.
You can use small colorful feathers for sugar spun quills, and make Bertie Botts every flavor beans out of hot glue drips, painted different colors. The boxes you can get here. Just print them on card stock, fold together and shut with tape.
