My trip to the american girl store

Hey everyone! I just got to say, I've been really busy lately, so sorry if I miss a day. ;)
Any way, the store was really tiny, you walked in the door, you could see the whole thing. But It was really fun! So fun I only stopped to take 5 pics. :P

They had the kitchen to play with!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3

Seriously, I love this piece. I. Must. Have. It.

It's so adorable! And thankfully, smaller than I thought. lol, when I wasn't squealing, I was saying: "It's smaller than I thought!" XD I also got some ideas for replicating crafts. :)

Princess was playing with this doll, I think she tried to name her vanilla.....but I convinced her that Mia was better. XD

And here's Kit goofing off with Melody, her shades are so cuuuuute! The beforever section was very small. :/
We also stopped at the lego store, the build a bear store, and the disney store, and this made me pretty ticked off. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's PINK. It feels like it's trying to get girls into star wars with pink shirts. If you love star wars, it's because you think its awesome! Not because you get to wear pink shirts!
However, it did occur to me that girls who like pink AND star wars might like this shirt, but still.
Any way, have fun, and toodle doo, because some math is after my blood. If I'm not back by the end of the week, that's why. :P :)
Bye!

Wellie wisher Camille review

Hi! Here is the review of Camille, with some pretty bad pics, because when I got home, I just couldn't wait to open her!

So here she is, in her box.

You can see here face through a flower-ish shape in the front.

You can just take the lid off, there's no tape or anything holding it down.

She has styrofoam wrapped around her boots, with a rubber band around them, and going through the back of the box. Aren't her boots so cute?

And her skirt, which is so pretty! I'll talk more about it later. Do you notice her hands? They look like american girl hands.

And her ruffly little shirt. it's very soft.

And here's her adorable little face. Her eyes do not shut, and she has a freckle by her eye. There is a piece of molded plastic behind her head, with styrofoam around her neck, and a cord over that, going through the back of the box.

Here is the rubber band in the back of the box. We shall cut that....

And this is the top back of the box. We shall cut that cord, and Camille will fall on her face, since we were holding box upside down to cut them.

Then you pick her up, and try to take off her hairnet. You have to take the starfish clip out first. And it is really hard to take of that hairnet. By the time you do get it off, her hair will be considerably messed up, so you smooth it out, and put the clip back in.

Wook at her widdle boots! Aren't they so cute? They're nice and rubbery, even the little red fins.

Here is her hair. It's very soft, and just like an american girl wig, it even looks like it when you lift it up.

Then I took her boots off. It is very difficult the first time, but it gets a little easier the more you do it. They also have a little mesh inside, so it's not slippery in there.

And here are her little feet. They look like smaller versions of american girl feet.

The back of the shirt closes with blue velcro.

Camille's skirt had slid up really high, above her belly button. She also has little pink underwear. And they have plastic bodies, not cloth like american girls.

Her hair has a pretty curve to it. Over all, she is adorable. I give her four out of five stars.

Some things I may have forgot to mention:
. When you lay her skirt out flat on the ground, it's shape is a diamond.
. Underneath her underwear, there is a raised wellie wisher logo.
. When she sits down, her leg go out side ways, so she's almost in a split.
. Her arms only go forwards and backwards, only the tiniest fraction of going out to the side.

Well, I hope you found this helpful. I can't wait to make clothes for her! And some of you may have noticed already, but Camille has a profile now.
Bye!

Beautiful books

bb-redone.png (410×410)

Hi! Cait from paper fury is hosting beautiful books, where you can talk about your Na No wri mo book. Mine is the star wars book I mentioned a loooooong time ago. So here we go!

1. What inspired the idea for your novel, and how long have you had the idea?
It was late August or early September, and I'm too lazy to look. I was at church, and doodled this:
 Some close ups:

An idea was already forming when I finished the villain. :D And I scribbled out what they were saying because it was SPOILERS

2. Describe what your novel is about!
How about I give you the blurb?

Allie is being hunted,                                                                                                                         and she knows why.
Allie, a young Jedi padawan, receives a message from the sith lord Darth Marissa, informing her that she is being hunted. Everyone is confused and surprised, except Allie. It is very difficult for a Jedi master to train a padawan, keep her safe, and go on diplomatic missions at the same time as Allie's teacher, Shiri Tarkona, soon realizes. She takes Allie to a far planet, hoping to lose Darth Marissa, but in vain. After a brief battle, Shiri is left mortally wounded. Can Allie find the nerve to hunt down, and destroy Darth Marissa? After all, Marissa knows Allie's greatest secret.
It's not very good. :/ There's also lots of secrets, mostly ones kept from the reader. :D
3. What is your book's aesthetic? Use words or photos or whatever you like!
This will take forever....
*an hour later*

4....is that enough?

4. Introduce us to each of your characters!
This'll be easier. :D
So this is a really bad drawing of Allie, the main character.

Allie is twelve years old. She been an orphan, and training at the jedi academy for as long as she can remember. She is energetic, caring, stubborn, impulsive, and is terrible at hiding her emotions.

This is Allie's jedi master, Shiri Tarkona. (I forgot to draw her ears, and I couldn't think of a name for her until after I took the picture.)

Shiri is very calm and collected. She is an expert negotiator, and doesn't like fighting. She actually has a pretty good sense of humor, but it rarely shows, due to a tragedy in her past, which she will not speak of.

And here is the villain, Darth Marissa.

Yes, her hair is supposed to look more like curls than raw ground beef.... :P
And barely anything is known about her, she's the mysterious villain, after all. ;)

Here's a good look at her lightsaber hilt.

5. How do you prepare to write? (Outline, research, stocking up on chocolate, howling, etc.?)
Well, I've done lot's of howling, and I'll probably go more. I've also written an outline, and I'm doing lots of research about those far away planets they will be visiting. I wish I could stock up on chocolate. :)

6. What are you most looking forward to about this novel?
Writing the action chapters! *rubs hands together excitedly* That's what I was doodling in church. :)

7. List three things about your novel's setting.
Coruscant, space, and a mountainy area in Kashyyyk.

8. What's your character's goal and who (or what) stands in the way?
Allie's goal is not to get caught by Darth Marissa, and not go to the dark side, and, uhh, Darth Marissa stands in the way of that. :P

9. How does your protagonist change by the end of the novel?
Protagonist? Just a minute, let me google that.....ok! Allie gets a lot calmer, and more confident, that's for sure. ;)

10. What are your book's themes? How do you want readers to feel when the story is over?
When the book is over, I want my readers to feel like it was at least a slightly satisfying ending, and maybe wanting a little more. :)

Now that that's over, I want to show you a picture of Ahsoka that I drew!

Ta da! I was looking at a picture when I drew this, so it turned out better than it would have.
 It's my new master piece!
And this is my masterpiece from when I was around 8......
*shuders*
Well, I hope you enjoyed reading about what I'm going to write about at Na no wri mo!
Bye!

P.S. for anyone who was wondering, my Na no name is Olive-loves-Star-wars. :)

Kit's birthday - a photostory

Hello! I went to the American girl store a few days ago, and got some things for this photostory!
So let's just pretend that it's August. :P And buckle up, because this is nice and long... :)

***************************************************************************

It was Kit's birthday, and the girls were standing around, chatting, drinking soda and scarfing oreo cookies and cheetos. "Can you open your presents now Kit?" Elizabeth asked.
"Sure." Kit said. They set their sodas down a headed for the living room.

Elizabeth plopped onto the floor while Kit sat down on the sofa. "Ooooooh." Kit said. "Look at these!" Ruthie gestured to a green package with a white ribbon. "Open this one first!"

Kit complied, and gasped with delight. "A fluffy coat! And some new ice skates!"
(Any one remember this clue?
)

"Who got it for me?"
"A relative, but it was my idea, because now I can have your old skates!"Ruthie claimed with enthusiasm. Kit laughed.

Kit set them aside, Elizabeth pulled the wrapping paper onto the floor, and Ruthie shoved over another present, with colorful dots and a purple ribbon.

Kit opened it and squealed. "Some rock climbing stuff! Yahoo!"
(Anyone remember this clue?
Love AG, you were right!)

Kit finally set them aside, and Ruthie handed her the last present, a long box with pink polka dots. "Here you go!" Ruthie said. "You're going to really like this one!" Elizabeth bounced up and down.

Kit opened it, and almost died of excitement.

Can you see why? ;)

Kit finished squealing, and hugging the box to her, asked Ruthie "Who got it for me? Quick! I must thank them with all my heart!" "Well." Ruthie said, enjoying her excited face. "Well, Elizabeth thought of it, asked your mom, and your mom took her out, Elizabeth picked it out, and your mom paid for it."

Kit jumped up, and gave Elizabeth a hug. "Oh, thank you thank you thank you!" Elizabeth giggled, giddy with excitement herself.

Kit heard a 'ping!' and Ruthie checked her phone. She jumped up, and nodding to Elizabeth, grabbed one of Kit's hands, while Elizabeth grabbed the other, and the dragged her out of the room. "What are we doing?" Kit asked with interest.
"You're going to have a birthday bubble bath!" Elizabeth said.
"A birthday bubble bath?"
"Yep! It's a new tradition!" Ruthie replied.

They lead her into the bathroom, and Kit had to admit she was impressed. Everything was shiny clean, there was a table cloth and a vase of flowers on the table, and the tub was already filled with hot water and lots of bubbles. "Be sure to take your time." Ruthie said.

As Ruthie and Elizabeth walked out, Kit said "Does this have anything to do with the text you got?" Ruthie grinned and winked. "I'll just say that Elizabeth and I have one more surprise to arrange."

After they left, Kit settled down in the bubbles, sighing with pleasure. It was so peaceful and warm, She almost fell asleep a few times!

Kit heard the front door open, and low voices. hmm. She thought. I wonder what they're up to? She decided to continue her bath. The water wasn't going to stay warm forever.

When Kit finally got out of the tub, She couldn't here the voices anymore. She wrapped herself in a big, fluffy blue towel, and wondered what they were up to.

She got dressed, and headed out.

As she slowly pushed open the door to the living room,  (idiot me, I should have put her somewhere else! not the front door!) She heard low voices again, Ruthie, Elizabeth,....and someone else.

Kit peeked through the door and gasped.

"Camille!"
"Kit!"
"SURPRISE!"

"Oh Camille, I'm so happy you're here!"

"But what are you doing so early? Mama said your plane wasn't until next week."

"Well," Camille said happily. "Ruthie, Elizabeth, Mama, auntie Ivy, and auntie Daisy arranged it so the tall man in the suit could get me an earlier flight, so we'd be in time for your birthday!"

Then they are squealed some more, and had a group hug. :)
And then they had cake and apple juice, and I had a pic, but it got mysteriously deleted. :(

That night, I settled Camille in a sleeping bag, and an old nightgown.

But as soon as I left the room.....

They ended up here....

And the cat took the sleeping bag. ;)
****************************************************************************************
I got Camille! Isn't she so cute? A few weeks after the wellie wishers were released I knew I had to buy her. :P I can't wait to make some clothes for her! Her profile will be up soon, and I will be removing Raggady Ann and Luke, because they only show up in Going to America. :P
Why Camille hasn't shown up before now, was a big problem, because I didn't want her to be adopted. I went through several explanations with Ivy before making up this story:
So when Camille was 2 years old, I got really sick with something, who knows what. I almost died, had to go go to the hospital, you know, that sort of stuff. The problem, was who would watch my kids? Ivy took care of young Kit, but an evil aunt of mine, who was living in a big mansion in England, claimed Camille. She took Camille to England, and when I got better, the evil aunt wouldn't give me back Camille. She kept Camille, didn't let her outside very much, definitely didn't let her play with any other kids, and taught her herself. We only got her back when the evil aunt died. Luckily, Camille doesn't have an English accent, because the evil aunt didn't have one, and she scolded Camille when she started picking it up from the servants.
The whole story is made up, I've never been that sick, and I don't have an evil aunt in England :) :P
Bye!
