Going to America - part 7 - snowshoes

Hey ya'll, how you doing today? I, uh, have been reading little house of american girl instead of finishing this post. *smiles nervously* But honestly! her photo story's are amazing!
Any way, your doll might not need this, (depending where she is going to live) but it is still fun.
You will need:
1. Cardboard from a cereal box
2. Brown yarn
3. Brown paint, and a paint brush
4. Mod podge
4. Hot glue, a pen, and scissors

Step 1. Very largely trace around you dolls foot. It should be very large. Cut it out, and trace three more times.

Step 2. Cut them out, and take two of them...
...set one aside, and start gluing yarn down diagonally.
 It should look like this:

Step 3. Now glue yarn down going in the opposite direction, weaving in and out.
 It should look like this:

Step 4. Glue the other part on the top.

Step 5. Paint the frame brown, use a rough brush if you can, then it looks like wood grain. When it has dried, give several coats of mod podge, repeat all the steps to make the other shoe, and you are done! Use pieces of yarn or ribbon to tie it to your doll's boots.
