Doll composition notebooks

Hi! uhg, I beel tho biderable. I ave a thtuffy node. A varwy thtuffy node. But I won't make you read the whole post like that. ;P So how'ya doing? Hazel posted the third part to the road to salin, and I decided to start on my back to school stuff, (I have LOTS of ideas,) even though I am embracing the cool mornings, I am refusing to start fall. XD Any way, one of my ideas was composition notebooks! So here you are!

You will need:
1. Old used up composition notebooks
2. Paper and lined paper
3. Black tape or paper
4. Glue, pencil, pen, scissors, and a ruler

Step 1.  Cut two rectangles out of the composition cover, 2 1/4" by 3". Round the corners of only one side, I messed up.

Step 2. Cut out a tiny little paper rectangle, 1 1/4" by 1", and use the pencil to draw on the design.

When it looks how you want, trace it in pen.

Step 3. Now glue it on off center, to leave room for the spine.

Step 4. Cut your pages out of lined paper, making them slightly smaller than the covers. I have around 25, but you should probably have 30.

Step 5. Glue the pages together by adding a stripe of glue stick to the back line of the front of every page so they are like a mini book already. Hopefully that made sense. ;)

Step 6. Now use hot glue to glue the pages to the covers.

Step 7. Now add black tape, or glue on a strip of paper.
You are done!
And American girl released Melody today! So go ahead and check that out!
Bye!

BB-8 is lonely - a photo story

                                                          GIRLS. FALL IS COMING.
It sure doesn't look it, but the pool was full of red yellow and brown leaves, it was room temperature outside, AND it was cool enough to have the fan in the window! :D
Any way, This is the post I was talking about, where you get to see how BB-8 turned out, with a weird title, and pics with weird shadows. :p

I smiled to myself as I combed out my last curl. Kit was taking Grace for a walk, her sometimes destructive cat was asleep, and judging from the yips and frantic beeping, Pepper was stalking Kit's kinda new mouse droid. Everything was under control, and I was going to kick around my soccer ball.

I was pulling my hair back into a pony tail when I heard some beeps and a very rude blerp.

I turned around. "What?" My new droid, BB-8, was offering me my hair tie that I used when I dressed as a star wars character.
(I wanted him to hand it to her on a temporary wire hand, but the hand would not cooperate.)

I was confused. "You want me to wear that? It doesn't exactly match my uniform...." I trailed off. "What are you doing with my bag?!"

BB-8 gave me the hair tie and the bag. I put the hair tie on the shelf, and rummaged through the bag. "A bottle of water, a portion of food, a small pan, some small tools, and a compass."

I looked at BB-8. "Do you want me to go scavenging with you?" He responded with a TON of happy beeps and boops.

I did my hair with the hair tie, while BB-8 rolled over, pushing a pile of clothes he had already assembled.

I got dressed, grabbed Maria's stick from the corner, she had forgotten it the last time she came, and we headed out the door.

We went outside and started looking around for junk to scavenge.

We didn't find much.

"BB-8." I said. "There's not much junk here. Or sand. Or even sun."

I pushed up my goggles. "So do you want to climb that tree instead?" BB-8 agreed so we headed over there, spirits lightened, because every thing is better in a tree.

And so we climbed.
                                                                      THE END.

Oh, and it has a weird ending to. ;P

 BEHOLD, THE MOST GLORIOUS SKETCHBOOK!!!
Isn't it so cute? I got it at michaels. :)
I've been looking at Emma's other blog, Drawn to writing, and her artwork is amazing! Those drawings or Asoka? eeeeeeee! Any way, I don't think of drawing as my thing, but I got all inspired by all her star wars drawings and wanted to draw my own. So I drew what I look like when I'm day dreaming about star wars. :)

TA DA!!
(Click on the pic to see it better)
I actually don't have any complaints on how I drew her, which is definitely a first. Yay!
*sigh* But of course, since I got the drawing right I had to screw up on coloring her. :(

Here's a better look of her face. My colored pencils would not work on the paper. They just indented the paper, and barley left behind any color. :( So her skin is not supposed to be that tan. She has green eyes, (I don't,) and no glasses, (I don't,) and she's wearing earrings.

Her hand are what bother me the most, they turned out WAY too dark. And since it's me, she's holding my custom lightsaber. :)

Here's a better look at the belt. Some things for holding stuff, and the brown is leather strips for holding my lightsaber.

And here's a better look at the boots, nothing special. Though the one on the right looks like its at a slightly painful angle, but maybe that's just non-flexible me talking. ;)
And just real quick will everyone please go vote Grace for president? The link is HERE.
I hope you enjoyed, Bye!

Some birthday related stuff

Hi! Sorry this was so late, I was playing monopoly. We had Baby's birthday this week, and mine! And I got a few things from family who didn't send me money, and I wanted to show you because I'm excited! :D

First I got this soapmaking book! I read it a looooong time ago in the library and loved it, and now I finally got it! Grandma got it for me. :)

Some pics of different soaps it shows you how to make. :)

In Popsicle holders? o-0

And I got two American girl outfits, one was hand made by this lady, and I saw it when we went on a trip, and Oma bought it for me, and hid it. This is the sneak peek.

When Grandpa came for Daisy's baptism, he gave me my birthday money early and I bought new church sandals, (dreadfully needed!) and this. (We were at target)

Heh heh, can you guess what they are? I won't say who's right or not, but if you get it right I will let you know when I reveal them. :D
Bye!

The life of a scavenger - by Kit

Sorry this is so late, I'm reading the fifth harry potter book and forgot what time it was. xp

Hello there! 'Tis Kit, to tell you about the life of a scavenger! Mom finally found the i-pod under the sofa, and so she brought me to aunt Ivy's soccer practice, as there is a playground nearby. So to me, there are a lot of blue space ships lying around in the desert. Mom may put in a comment or two, but I will try to hush her up, as you get to hear her ramble in too many posts already.

Who is this mysterious person? Is it even human?

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIt's, Kit! And of course I'm a human!
Kit, please stop with the commentary and get going.
Fine. But shouldn't there be some suspense?
No. Because everyone knows its you.
Humph.

Any way, a scavenger survives buy dissembling spaceships and selling the pieces.

A wrench.....

.....and a screwdriver help a lot.

It's hot, time consuming, and sometimes painful work.

And no matter what you do, you end up with flyaway hair.

We explore the abandoned hulls of ships....

Extracting small bits of machinery that might get us our food for another day...

Slide down vent tubes....

Go through ships that are slanted, or even upside down.

And knock pieces off the sides...

Until all to soon, you're exhausted...

And you've drank all you water, and you have to call it a day.

Then, after you've sold it for WAY to little food, you go home, cook up the little veggies and meat...

...eat them....

....and make the bread with your refilled water.

By then I had sandy fingers, so that's why it looks right.
Shhh!

Then you get to eat it. It's the tastiest of the meal. ;)
And that's the life of a scavenger.

BONUS PIC:

Isn't she so cute? Any way, Tory posted the second part of secrets. Hazel added some pages to her blog, They're so cute. :) (Sorry Hazel, they are!) And I REALLY hope that the next part of the guiding compass gets posted tomorrow, that would be so great!
Bye!
Bye!
And,
     ~Kit

Mom, can I get a fancy sign off?
Maybe later.
